I was speaking with AmityHouse, the shelter in Brunswick, GA today. They are putting me in touch with a legal advocate to see about qualifying for a Temporary Restraining Order so I can get my stuff without threat of Buttfaceinabananapatch being there to decide what I can and cannot take depending if it is "mine", "yours" or "OURS". Last time I went through this, if it was "ours", purchased or aquired by the both of us, it didn't matter if it WAS a size 4 ball gown. It wasn't MINE and I was not allowed to take anything that was "ours". Mind you, HE could keep it, but I couldn't because that showed it was "ours".....how? But I digress...

While I was there, the woman was thinking I was freshly beaten up and needing all kinds of guidance, so upon hearing how well adjusted I am and that I'd only achieved that by the equivilant of 3 years Support Group Therapy, she was impressed. She asked about it, and I spilled. Every good thing I could think to say(and that wasn't hard)....I said.

Cutting to the chase here and eliminating the 45minute conversaton, I showed her Our Place and The Next Right Choice after explaining the purposes of and the differences between...and she immediately began to review them, and wants to get permission to add them to their list of published resources that they use as handouts and educational tools for the women who come through their shelter.

She also said she'd wished she'd known about such excellent resources a couple of years ago. She was VERY impressed.

So.........can I get you guys advertised?
